At Goodwill of Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties, Inc., we are pleased to offer employment services for individuals with disabilities who are referred from the Department of Rehabilitation (DOR). Our extensive employment preparation program includes resume development, identification of skills and potential barriers to employment and mock interviews. After the completion of employment preparation, our case managers assist clients with job searching and placement in their chosen vocational goal. After a client is placed in a job, we offer retention services including job coaching and advocacy to ensure successful and long-term employment. We believe that the power of work helps our clients with disabilities reach their highest potential in order to gain personal and economic independence.

Occupational Skills Training

• ServSafe Food Handler’s Card through the National Restaurant Association

• Customer Service Certification through the National Retail Federation

• Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)


Dress for Success

Case Managers assist clients with purchasing appropriate interview and work clothes at an approved DOR vendor.

Services are time limited and must be provided within the parameters set by the authorization of services from the Department of Rehabilitation. Services are available in both English and Spanish.
